Salt Lake City, Utah – In 1861, Samuel Clemens was unemployed and determined to avoid military service. So, he fled to the frontier American west, where he worked as a silver miner, a gold prospector, a stock trader, a mill worker and a newspaper reporter. Six years later, he returned east as Mark Twain. Wednesday, Doug talks to biographer and historian Roy Morris Jr. about Twain's journey and how the west helped to create one of America's most iconic writers.
