4/25/06: Global Warming: The Signs and the Science

Salt Lake City, UT – A growing body of scientists are blaming global warming for phenomena such as stronger hurricanes, urban heat spikes and the rise of infectious diseases. KUER's Jenny Brundin talks with Michael Taylor, director and co-writer of the new documentary Global Warming: The Signs and the Science, along with other experts about what is causing global climate change, what the future holds and what is being done about it. On Tuesday, April 25th, the Salt Lake City Film Center, KUED and Mayor Rocky Anderson will present Global Warming: The Signs and the Science as part of the Center's Environmental Series at the Salt Lake City Library. The evening begins at 5:30 with the launch of the Mayor's e2 Citizens program, which encourages individuals to implement personal measures to reduce global warming pollution. The documentary will be screened from 7:00 to 8:00, immediately followed by a panel discussion with the Mayor, David Chapman of the University of Utah's Geophysics Department, and James Holtkamp, Manager of Environmental Compliance Group at Holland at Hart.
