4/2/07: Cheney at the Y

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to deliver the commencement address at Brigham Young University on April 26, and the reaction on campus might come as a surprise to outside observers. A group of students, alumni and faculty are calling for the invitation to be retracted. They say that Cheney fails to represent things that are "virtuous, lovely, or of good report." Monday on RadioWest, Doug talks to Lou Dubose, author of "Vice: Dick Cheney and the Hijacking of the American Presidency." He's then joined by BYU faculty and staff for a look at what the controversy reveals about political discourse in the LDS community.
