The Utah Chapter Sierra Club and Creative Energies are teaming up to host a free solar educational workshop. We'll delve into all the gritty details about rooftop solar in Utah including recent changes to Rocky Mountain Power's net metering program, tax incentives, import tariffs on solar panels, current technologies, battery storage, the interplay with electric vehicles and more. Light refreshments will be served and equipment will be available to explore. After a short presentation, we'll engage in a robust question and answer session. We’ll provide accurate information to determine if solar is a good fit and to help you make a well-informed decision. The Sierra Club has negotiated special discounted pricing on high-quality systems for its members and supporters. For most homeowners, generating clean energy from sunlight remains surprisingly affordable. Feel free to bring a copy of your electric bill as a resource in planning your own system. Creative Energies has been designing and installing solar for 18 years with a goal to provide renewable energy to those who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it. We are a Certified B Corporation, meeting the highest standards of overall social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, and aspire to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. We operate out of net energy zero offices with rooftop solar photovoltaic systems. Scott Jones will be spearheading this workshop and is credentialed by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in photovoltaic technical sales. He attended the University of Utah and holds an MBA with emphases in financial analysis, leadership and strategy. Scott has designed and completed over 500 rooftop solar systems, including his own residence, and will provide honest, straightforward guidance for your project. If you can’t join us, our next workshop will be held April 18 at 5:30 pm or visit SierraClubSolar.org for a free consultation.
