With so many distractions, youth aren’t spending enough time outdoors. Through camping, children and teens explore nature, become a community and develop confidence, independence, and leadership skills. Camping teaches self-reliance, a love for nature and the outdoors, and the development of attitudes and practices that build character and leadership—all amidst the fun of campfires, games, and meaningful relationships. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper. The Y offers overnight camps in the Wasatch National Forest for your child to experience adventure and excitement. Mill Hollow is a brand new YMCA program designed for those pre-teens and teens looking for a break from the ordinary and a chance for discovery this summer. Campers will spend 7 days building their own schedule from a range of activities lead by dedicated and trained staff, offering them the independence and adventure they crave. They’ll return home with a sense of accomplishment, an increased passion for nature, and greater self-trust and independence.
